"Why Irish sport matters"

The Irish Sailing association (ISA) has requested that the following except from their newsletter dated 21st October 2009 be listed on the IODAI website.

"Irish Sporting Organisations have joined together in a campaign "Why Irish Sport Matters" to highlight the importance of continued government funding.

At a press conference earlier today the benefits and dividends to Irish society were highlighted. Sport in Ireland delivered its submission to Minister Cullen's office today and will meet with early next week."

Please support this campaign in any way you can and also encourage your club to do so ask them to place this statement on their club website.
