ISA National Optimist Squad

James O’Callaghan ISA Performance Director said:

The ISA national squad is now in its second year. The squad focuses on developing each sailors skills and knowledge to give them a good grounding in the sport . The programme has a balance of domestic and international training and competition. Thomas Chaix is the lead coach throughout the programme and is supported by guest coaches over the duration.

IODAI are fully supportive of the squad and indeed have contributed constructive feedback to the ISA on how the squad can develop further.

The following sailors are invited to join the 2008/2009 squad and are asked to confirm their place by e-mail to olympicadmin@sailing.ie. by 1700hrs on Friday September 26th.
