ISA Squad face lumpy seas in Palma

The ISA National Optimist Squad has just returned from the 57th  Trofeo Ciutat de Palma which was held between 6-9th December. There were 322 boats entered from 15 nations with eleven of the squad travelling to sunny Palma.

Unfortunately Patrick Daly had to miss the trip due to illness.

The race area was in the heart of the Bay of Palma. Wind conditions varied across the range with gusts of perhaps 20 knots the maximum experienced. The high calibre competitive fleet and very difficult sea state at times made this event an outstanding experience for the squad.

The dedicated effort of the squad was rewarded with some excellent individual race results, in particular a race win in the last race for Katie Gambier Ross. For more detail go to http://213.201.86.222/sesiones/regata08/web/ftp/
