1. Have something to eat and drink before every race.
2. Stand up and have a look up the beat before every start.
3. Start beside someone that you are faster than.
4. Stay in the front row and accelerate slightly before everybody else.
5. Keep your eyes in the boat after the start until you are clear of all the boats near you.
6. Pump upwind in waves.
7. Always play the main when it’s windy.
8. Board up and sprit off straightaway round the windward.
9. Always look behind downwind for gusts etc.
10. Don’t bang a corner up the last beat unless you’re outside the top 15.
