Teams 2012

The IODAI committee would like to strongly encourage the top five sailors finishing in the trials to attend the IODAI World Championships 2012 to be held in July in the Dominican Republic.

So for 2012 there will be three IODAI teams, The Worlds Team, The European Team & the International Development Team..

The Teams will consist of the following:

·         Worlds Team : Top 5 sailors finishing at the trials

·         European Team: 7 sailors (minimum 3 of each gender)

·         International Development Team : 7 sailors (minimum 2 of each gender subject to the requirement that all sailors must be in the top 30 at the trials – if this is not the case the place will be offered to a sailor of the other gender)

Should any of the top 5 sailors not wish to travel to the World's their places will be offered as a swap to the next eligible sailors up to and including the sailor who finishes 8th in the trials.

No sailor finishing lower than 30th place in the trials will be offered a team place.

All sailors qualifying for these teams will receive the coveted green lifejacket.

The under 12’s squad will remain unchanged and will attend the British nationals in Pwellihli
